Lincoln Environmental Art Festival [LEAF] Friday, April 7th 4:30 – 6:30 pm

Earthstock Block Party: Friday, April 21st 11 am – 2 pm

The Earthstock Block Party is an interactive and inclusive celebration of Earth Day in the center of UNL’s campus – Student Union. More than 30 different RSOs and local community organizations showcase their relation to sustainability in unique ways. Join us for Yoga on the Green (11am), the Carbon Footprint Challenge by Sustain UNL, a DJ set, AGN’s philanthropy, voter registration from ASUN Student Government, bike smoothies with Bike UNL, a planting station, live screen printing food, animals and more!

March for Science: Saturday, April 22nd, 3 pm

The March for Science is a celebration of our passion for science and a call to support and safeguard the scientific community. Participants will convene at 3 pm by the Nebraska Union (1400 R St.) and march through Centennial Mall to the Nebraska State Capital.

 

Envirorun: Sunday, April 23rd, 10 am

10 am – 11 am Meet on the corner of Idylwild Dr and Apple St. for a fun run on Mopac trail. 11 am – 12 pm Dr. Don Wilhite form the UNL School of Natural Resources will be speaking at the Arbor Suite of the Nebraska East Union. Non-runners are welcome to join, and there will be food available.

 

People’s Climate March: Saturday, April 29th, 10:30 am

March in solidarity with the People’s Climate March in Washington, DC! They will kick off at the UNL Student Union at 14th and R Streets, and end with a rally at the Nebraska State Capitol featuring compelling speakers and critical opportunities for YOU to get further engaged with the battle of the century – the battle for a livable world!

 

Constellation Studios – Unfolding the Map: March 3rd through May 20th

7 women printmakers reference maps and mapping using symbolic conventions of space and visual cues from the world of information, printed matter, and inherited narratives. The works investigate visual cacophony and information loss, imagined spaces, shifting climatic conditions, and where the journey is the destination.
